The admission criteria to enroll into each level of the
programme are as follows:
Level 1 - STPM or equivalent, Matriculation, A-Level and Foundation in Engineering
Level 2 - Competent Level 1
Level 3 - Competent Level 2
The Electrical Plant Operations (Level 1) personnel are competent in performing the following core competencies:
· Plant Wiring System Operations
· Plant LV Switchboard Operations
· Plant LV Underground Cable Installation And Maintenance
· Plant Battery System Operations
· Plant LV Motor Operations
Optionally, the Electrical Plant Operations (Level 1) personnel are competent in performing the following elective competency:
· Statistical Control Activities
The Electrical Plant Operations (Level 2) personnel are competent in performing the following core competencies:
· Plant Generator Operation
· Plant Transformer Operation
· Plant UPS System Operation
· Plant Electrical Protection System Operation
· Plant Instruments Installation and Maintenance
Optionally, the Electrical Plant Operations (Level 2) personnel are competent in performing the following elective competency:
· Programmable Logic Controller Installation
The Instrument Plant Junior Technician (Level 1) personnel are competent in performing the following core competencies:
· Basic Process Instrument Maintenance
· Analytical Instrument Maintenance
· Basic DCS And PLC Maintenance
· Basic Gas Detection System Maintenance
The Instrument Technician Plant (Level 2) personnel are competent in performing the following core competencies:
· Process Instrument Maintenance
· DCS And PLC Maintenance
· Fire and Gas Detection System Maintenance
· Plant Instrument Functionality Test
The Mechanical Plant Maintenance Operation (Level 3)
personnel are competent in performing the following core competencies:
· Mechanical Transmission Overhaul
· Pump Overhaul
· Rotating Equipment Overhaul
· Static Equipment Works Supervision
· Inventory Management
Optionally, the Mechanical Plant Maintenance Operation (Level 3) personnel are competent in performing the following elective competency:-
· Instrument Installation And Maintenance
The Mechanical Plant Maintenance Operation (Level 2) personnel are competent in performing the following core competencies:
· Rigging and Slinging Works
· Plant Piping Servicing
· Pressure Relieving Devices Testing
· Mechanical Transmission Servicing
· Pump Servicing
· Rotating Equipment Servicing
· Static Equipment Servicing
Optionally, the Mechanical Plant Maintenance Operation (Level 2) personnel are competent in performing the following elective competency:-
· Condition Base Monitoring on rotating equipment
· Non Destructive Testing of Static Equipment
The Mechanical Plant Maintenance Operation (Level 1) personnel are competent in performing the following core competencies:
· Plant Workshop Activities
· Piping System Maintenance
· Pressure Relieving Devices Maintenance
· Plant System Isolation
· Plant Mechanical Transmission Maintenance
· Pump Maintenance
· Plant Rotating Equipment Maintenance
· Static Equipment Maintenance.
· Technical Drawing Activities
Optionally, the Mechanical Plant Maintenance Operation (Level 1)personnel are competent in performing the following elective competency:
· Statistical Control Activities.
Piping Fabrication Operation Personnel (Level 2) is designated to carry out the
necessary operations to produce pipe spools.
Tasks include:
· Performing Piping Fabrication Material Preparation
· Performing Pipe Cutting Work Handling
· Performing Pipe Jointing (Fit Up)
· Performing Pipe Support Preparation
Piping Fabrication Operation Personnel (Level 3) is designated to carry out the necessary operations to manage pipe spool production.
Tasks include:
· Performing Pipe Fitting Administrative Function
· Performing Piping Fabrication Work Preparation
· Performing Fit up Inspection
· Performing Pipe Spool Final Inspection
· Performing Pipe Fabrication Safety Monitoring
